My Take:USA-Presidential Elections 2016.
The presidential elections of the United states of America have always fascinated me.
This time it is different in many ways,as far as my viewpoint is concerned I think these elections will go down in the history of the Presidential Elections of the United States of America,as one of the worst in terms of the quality and competence of the Presidential candidates.
America is unarguably the most powerful Nation in the world and I think every American realises it deep down and cherishes the legacy that they can be extremely proud of..
This blog is not about how the world thinks about USA ,the decisions it took which in some ways changed the course of time and to analyse those,for or against.
But without having told the glorious history of United Sates of America this blog will loose its essence.
History of America is witness to the rise of America to greatness,it hardly matters if anyone thinks contrary to this in terms of the people of America.
Every American knows that he is a citizen of the most powerful nation in the world.
This feeling in itself is so powerful and would make any human being so very proud.
Americans know that they drive the world in many ways if not all, that their country is the undisputed leader amongst all the nations,which plays a major role in deciding,how the world moves.
Now coming to the elections ,honestly speaking,If I were an American citizen I would have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the Presidential candidates in these elections.
I wouldn't have had any iota of doubt that these two candidates do not deserve to be known as the Most powerful person living on Earth.
I would have been equally sad about the deteriorating quality of the candidates for presidential elections having known that America is witness to some of the greatest leaders of all time on earth.
To some extent even president Obama wasn't that bad a persona,he was able to upheld the honour of the White house quite comfortably.
For Americans the situation is really confusing and disappointing but for the world it is both disappointing and encouraging.
Disappointing in the sense that the world is going to have one of these two people as the leader of the United states and I am sure there must be a clear divide amongst the nations,whatever said and done I am sure none of the Nations are upbeat and excited about the presidential elections.They know that whatever be the results they are not going to get an Ideal person who would really make a difference.
Encouraging in the sense that out of 320 million Americans they got Hillary and Trump as the candidates, it goes to show that the political system is deteriorating in the United states of America in terms of quality,efficient,Competent and great leaders.
This can be seen as Americas walk to the downhill from the summit as the most powerful nation.
8 years back Hillary clinton was pitched against Barack Obama without doubt she was no match for Obama,even after 8 years of Barack Obama, America couldn't produce one single leader who is competent enough,they got Hillary clinton again.
And if that was not enough for the people of America they got Donald Trump as a competition to Hillary.
Now what do they do,they have to choose one amongst 2 mediocre leaders,they have no choice but to accept it,I can feel the pinch which many Americans would be feeling right now,their country is become a laughing stock for the people.
The respect that the presidents of America used to command will be at an all time low because of both these candidates.
The Trump card-He is emphasising immensely on how he intends to cut down on taxes for the people even though he has not been clear about how he intends to do that.
Whats more shameful and the people of America should take a note of it is the fact that Trump shamelessly accepts that he is a man of dishonest character,it is evident by his statement on tax evasion,.
When asked the question of tax evasion by Hillary he gave one of the most shameful answer any politician can ever give,He said he does that because he is smarter and knows how to evade taxes and that the weak laws allow him to do so and that he will keep taking advantage of the law.
So going by his logic,if a murderer or a criminal uses law to its advantage ,he becomes a Hero.If he gets Scot free by using loopholes in the law then he should take pride in that and he should glorify himself for that.Its ridiculous in every sense.
When he was asked about why he didn't pay the architect who he hired,his fees he said he didnt like his work and therefore he had all the right to deny him his contract fees.Will any good n honest man ever do this ?
When he was asked about the hue n cry he made on Obamas birth certificate he sheepishly replied that it was because of him that obama produced his birth certificate.Mr trump you did not made a hue n cry and put allegations on Obama so that Obama is compelled to produce his certificate which he was hiding as per you,you alleged that he never had an American birth certificate in first place and that he was lying.Your answers aren't convincing .
When he was asked about his opinion on Racism look what the would be president of the united states of America has to say ,he says" He opened a club where people from all communities the african Americans the muslims,asians,everyone comes there and he is very proud of that"
Wow what a reply and what a great social work you have done to unite people,I m sure you must not be charging any money from American Africans or muslim community there.
When asked does he think he is being polite in his behaviour as a role model for youth he gives all nonsense irrelevant and meaningless arguments.
He was asked whether he grabbed private parts of women he says he will handle the ISIS better and that he will make borders strong he will make America great again.
Any guesses what the question was??
He is after Obama care and he has made it his big political agenda but when he is asked what is his solution to it,he has no answers to that.
He says its a secret,actually this is the best reply he could give,he should have kept his mouth shut in each and every issue like this by telling people that he has solutions to every problem but he will not disclose as it is a secret.He would have been able to fetch far more votes by doing this.
All said and done how can a presidential candidate address a women,like Trump did,by calling Hillary "Nasty Women" in a presidential debate which is been seen by the entire world,what kind of public behaviour is he showing,what can you expect from such a person.
When asked about Muslims he went after Hillary by arguing that Radical Islam terror is a problem and that Hillary n her party couldn't even say that word because they do muslim appeasement.
As far as Hillary clinton is concerned I think she is born lucky first she became Secretary of state which just happened and now she is pitched against Mr Trump who is his own competition.
I have a very strong feeling that had it been any other American guy except Trump he would have won hands down against Hillary cause Hillary was never a President material.
I must say Hillary is very very lucky,you just need to give your 50% to beat a guy like Trump in elections,the rest 50% will be taken care by Trump himself.
Hillary's reply to her email controversy is hilarious she is making it obvious that there is something more then meets the eye.
Hillary's body language has always been awful and this time it is no different she doesn't give natural reactions her facial expressions appear so fake.
I only wish she had a better opponent or for that matter any other fellow apart from Trump.
The best part what I feel about this whole Hillary campaign is her promises to the people of America,reminds me of the Indian political system where the Idiots come every 5 years promise you stars,win and then again come after 5 years,then they again promise you stars and we all believe their fake promises again and again and keep voting them.
I think trump couldn't take advantage of this as much as he should have.
Hillary Clinton has been the secretary of state of the United states she is one of the very close aids of President barack Obama so what made her not do what she is promising to the people of America all these time,was she only waiting to become the president and then work for the people.
Why should people trust her now when she couldn't deliver when she had the chance.
One thing is very clear from the election campaign so far,It seems Hillary has a very strong financial,logistics and intellectual people backing her, she appears to have better campaign advisors as well.
She has been able to portray trump for what he is at least globally.
She has influenced the Media substantially and that is possible only when you have great powers supporting you.
The one thing that I have not been able to figure out in this campaign is the psyche behind the Trump mania which has only grown so much so that Trump is giving a good fight and a run for money to Hillary given the man he is he shouldn't have achieved this much but again thanx to Hillary.
I think American people do not think differently now because of the globalisation and change in the last decade where countries like India have emerged the though process is slowly getting the same.
In India we saw how Modi was able to manage an election campaign so well He just used every power he could to create a frenzy amongst Indian public ,He was already in good terms with people like Ambani and Adani who can invest more money then entire political class joined together.Rest is history.
The difference between Trump and Modi is that Trump doesn't have the resources to create a frenzy in the mass by the help of media and money,they both have similar contents to woo the masses and which is the sole reason Trump is doing so well but Hillary scores in the Media coverage.
Whats more satisfying for me is that I am glad India is not that behind as far as politics is concerned,in-fact I would rather say Americans are catching up with us.When such a large number of people in America vote on the issues of Radical Muslim terrorism,making immigration policies very strong,Building great border walls,Banning muslims to enter US etc etc I have good reasons to believe America is catching up with us,may be by next elections it will be black vs white,Asian Americans Vs Latins,Roman Catholics Vs Baptists.
The matter of the fact is that they both complement each other very well.
Had there been no trump against Hillary,Hillary wouldn't have had any chance whatsoever of becoming the president of the United states of America and likewise had there been no Hillary trump would have never come this close.
To conclude I think Trump had a real chance but he has chosen a bad team of campaign managers and political advisors for him,they couldnt even hide his real character in the process of this entire election campaign.
I think Hillary will win these elections because she appears to be less complicated in her Ideas,even though she has nothin new to give.
Whosoever wins theres nothing to panic I think next 4 years will be very average in America and nothing much should be expected out of the two.
I hope we get better choices the next time around.
